Random Fabulousness: Designer Automobiles

How fashionable is designer autos? From dashboards, steering wheels, seat covers, paint…. Is it all just good fun? Is it stylish? Would you do it to your car? Does it violate any fashion ethics? Should the fabrics and paints even be considered counterfeit or knockoffs? SOOO many questions! The fashion industry doesn’t speak out much on this topic, but maybe they should? Forever 21 has been getting the heat lately by using fabrics similar to fabrics designers use. With all of these cars with “fabrics similar to your favorite designer”, one would think that these designers would try to cash in and make some money by selling the real fabrics or even get legal with these companies promoting fabrics like theirs. But I’m just one person with an opinion. So what’s yours?

Beauty Book: Curly Hair under $5

As most of you know, I have very curly hair, and over the years I have struggled to find great products for when I wear my hair curly. Gels seems to dry my hair out, but without them my hair is extremely frizzy. I have found 3 great products that are all under $5 that can change your life. The Addicts and many other people I know with all different textures of hair use them I knew I had to share them with the world!

The first is my favorite. Cantu Leave-In Conditioning treatment is the best of both worlds. I wash my hair, and apply a quarter size amount (depending upon how long my hair is) and evenly disperse it throughout. This product not only protects your hair in the summer sun, but it also moisturizes without leaving it greasy, and it also keeps my curls perfectly in tact without frizz. The Shea butter is the key to the leave-in conditioning treatment. When I use this produce no other products are needed. Plus you can get a 16 oz. tub for around $4.

The Wave Nouvea Moisturizing Finishing Mist and Lotion are created for natural and hair with a permanent curl. I started using both of these products while experimenting with my mothers curl products. The mist is great for a few day old hair to give it a boost and shine. The moisturizing lotion is great if you have extra dry hair. I like to use this during winter when my hair is brittle. Both products are great to have for your coiffe!

Poor Girl's Guide: Eva Marcille

Create Your Own Swag

One of the newest trends this summer are convertible chain sunglasses. We have seen them on Rihanna and Amber Rose, and I am sure that their will be more sites of this recylced look to come this summer. Amber Rose wore a costly pair of vintage Chanel shades with wide frames and velvet intertwinded gold link chain.

Rihanna was spotted wearing Love/Hate convertible Chain glasses by Patricia Fields. This are more affordable than Chanel, but still pretty pricey for a trend. ( I do not reccomend splurging on trends unless you got it).

I really liked both of these looks, but I definetly did not have the funds to purchase either pair. I suggest that everyone get a little creative every once in a while, it will definetly save you in the long run. I went to Michael's and purchased a 18" gold link chain that was on sale for $3. I then took a pair of sunglass that I already owned from WetSeal ($5) with a similiar shape to the Love/Hate and hot glued the chain to the glasses. Total Cost, including the hot glue gun that I bought from the craft store: $14

You can't go wrong with anything under $20, especially when you are looking just like the stars!

Patricia Fields Love/Hate Convertible Chain Sunglasses $250
